Manabu Kochi
The internationally renown artist Manabu Kochi was born in Okinawa (Japan) in 1954. He studied at the Musashino Art College in Tokio, in 1979 he went to Italy to attend the National Academy of Arts, aspiring to deepen his knowledge in painting. After his graduation in 1989 he moved to Paris, the city that was to become the centre for his comprehensive work in painting, lithography and bronze sculpture.
In 1996, he was appointed the symbol artist for America's 38th Grammy Awards and the official artist of the New York Art Exposition. Since then his bright, colourful works radiating energy and life have gained recognition throughout the world. His art is exhibited in several important international collections and exhibitions.
